Back?

So, according to Drudge, Osama bin Laden is "back." But, to misquote the Austin Powers films, in many ways bin Laden never left. On a more serious note, contemplate the six years as of next Tuesday in which he has remained at large and free to plot against the United States and our allies. We did manage to capture and kill Saddam Hussein before discovering that the (original stated) reasons for attacking Iraq were false. As the sixth anniversary of 9/11 approaches and we begin to seriously contemplate who will be our next leader (I guess it's really serious now that Thompson has actually declared), maybe we should also consider if the path chosen by the current administration has been the correct one and if not, who will best lead us onto a better one. Not going to give an answer here, this is a think piece.
